Prince Harry alleges William physically attacked him over Meghan
‘He grabbed me by the collar… knocked me to the floor’: In his book ‘Spare’ Harry details how his brother William physically assaulted him.

The Duke of Sussex Prince Harry’s autobiography titled Spare has been leaked and in it is a bombshell incident about his brother Prince William physically assaulting him.
According to The Guardian, Harry alleged that the Prince of Wales (formerly the Duke of Cambridge) grabbed him and ripped his necklace before knocking him to the floor.

PRINCE HARRY DETAILS THE ASSAULT
In the book — which is entitled after the phrase “heir and a spare” — Harry detailed that the incident allegedly took place at Nottingham Cottage in 2019 when Harry was living there.
The attack occured when William arrived and complained about the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markl, being “difficult”, “rude” and “abrasive”.
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me,” Harry reportedly wrote in the book.
“I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out,” the book reads.

PRINCE WILLIAM ASKED HIM NOT TO TELL MEGHAN
Harry reportedly shared that William claimed he was “trying to help” when he complained about the former Suits actress.
When Harry questioned his intentions, telling him he was repeating the press narrative and that he expected better, William reportedly became angry and assaulted him.
Harry added that his brother urged him to hit back, before leaving and then returning “looking regretful” and proceeded to apologise.
According to the publication, Harry also claimed that his brother said: “You don’t need to tell Meg about this.”
Indeed, he did not tell his wife as he opened up to his therapist first. However, he eventually told her of the incident after she noticed “scrapes and bruises” on his back.
His autobiography, according to the publication, follows themes of his resentment of being the “spare”.
Another story the Duke recounts is of how his father, now King Charles, allegedly said to his late wife, Princess Diana, on the day of Harry’s birth: “Wonderful! Now you’ve given me an heir and a spare – my work is done.”
Spare is due to be released on 10 January 2023, Sky News reports.
