The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Prince Harry and Meghan Markle subtly honoured Queen Elizabeth II with a tribute on their Archewell Foundation website.

DUKE AND DUCHESS OF SUSSEX PAY TRIBUTE TO THE QUEEN

Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II passed away “peacefully” on Thursday 8 September. This followed doctor’s concerns for her deteriorating health.

“The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and the Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow,” read the statement.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle honoured the Queen by updating their Archewell Foundation website to a black screen with simple white letters.

“In loving memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 1926-2022,” read the message.

MEGHAN DID NOT TRAVEL WITH PRINCE HARRY TO SCOTLAND

The former Suits star was said to be travelling with her husband to Scotland when there were concerns for the Queen’s health. However, Daily Mail later reported that there was a change of plan and Prince Harry was headed to Scotland alone.

Royal correspondent Omid Scobie revealed that just like Prince William’s wife Kate Middleton was not travelling to see the Queen in Scotland, so was Meghan.

“A source has shared an update stating that only Prince Harry has made the trip up to Balmoral. Like the Duchess of Cambridge (who is in Windsor with their three children), the Duchess of Sussex is staying back in England (but still not attending tonight’s WellChild Awards),” he tweeted.
