Phelo Bala has broken his social media silence following news he has split from husband Moshe Ndiki.

Sadly, the youngest Bala brother updated his followers by revealing in a sombre post that he was struggling with “severe depression”.

Moshe confirmed in an Isolezwe interview earlier this month that he and Phelo had called it quits after two years of marriage.

PHELO BALA OPENS UP ABOUT LIVING WITH DEPRESSION

In an Instagram post celebrating his 31st birthday, Phelo Bala disclosed that he has been battling depression since the age of 16 years old.

He shared: “So many times I thought I wouldn’t see another year. So many times I wished I didn’t. Living with severe depression since I was 16 and somehow I’m still standing and somehow fighting my way through this thing called life.

Phelo then hinted at his current outlook on life as a single man.

He continued: “I’m learning to love myself and be kinder to myself. Though I have many reasons not to celebrate, I have so much more to be grateful for. I guess God is not through with me just yet”.

WHEN DID MOSHE NDIKI AND PHELO SPLIT?

Although Moshe Ndiki and Phelo Bala have faced public spats throughout their relationship, the revelation that their marriage was officially over was a bombshell to their fans.

It’s not clear when the couple called it quits, although Phelo Bala was still referencing Moshe Ndiki in Instagram posts as late as December 2021.

The last Instagram post of the couple on Phelo Bala’s Instagram account was a year ago, at his 30th birthday party. The couple look happy and in love.

Meanwhile, Moshe Ndiki’s last post featuring Phelo was a video montage of their one year anniversary in 2020.

The couple tied the knot in October 2019 in an intimate ceremony attended by close friends and family members.

Their love story has been marred by allegations of domestic abuse, jealousy, alcohol abuse, violent spats and even interim court orders against each other.
