South African actress Ntando Duma left a lot of locals with a bad taste in their mouths after sharing a snap of herself in the outfit she wore to late star actor and producer Shona Ferguson’s funeral which took place on Wednesday 4 August in Johannesburg.

While one person questioned her clothes, another person criticised her for taking photos at a funeral.

Ntando leaves tweeps shaking their heads

Duma was thoroughly dragged by her fellow South Africans this week. The actress shared a photo of herself in the outfit she chose for Shona Ferguson’s funeral and let’s just say, not many thought that it was the appropriate choice.

Dumas black stockings, leather jacket, and skirt certainly rubbed one tweep up the wrong way:

“Kodwa, your skirt is too short for such an occasion. Couldn’t you wear something more fitting for a lady under the circumstances? Or you want attention even at a funeral,” wrote MaMshefane after spotting the snaps.

Duma was however not having any of it from the straightforward young lady and responded by saying:

“Anikhathali ne (I don’t have the time hey). Not today Madam. Try someone else.”

Meanwhile, other locals weigh in

Of course, other people who spotted the exchange, wasted no time sharing their thoughts. While some thought the skirt was a little short, others saw no problem with it:

YonkeMkhize said:

“But it is not even that short though, khona neStocking njena (at least she wearing some stockings with it.)”

To which MaMshefane replied:

“Even prostitutes wear stockings. Surely our standard as African women should be higher. Especially for occasions like a funeral.”

On the other hand, one guy criticized the actress for taking photos at a funeral:

“Why take pictures in a funeral though?”

Ntando Duma and ‘The Queen’

After joining Mansi Magic’s The Queen in 2020, Duma exited the show in July as she was not exactly a favourite among viewers who slammed her acting skills.

The actress portrayed the role of Mpho Sebata and her exit was marked by her death at the hands of the Khozas.
