‘Nando’s is racist as f***’: Ntsiki Mazwai slams cheeky food company
Activist Ntsiki Mazwai has joined many South Africans in taking a stand against ‘racist’ Nando’s that ‘only makes jokes about black people.’

Controversial poet Ntsiki Mazwai has joined many South Africans in slamming Nando’s on social media. The marketing team of the grilled chicken company seems to have rubbed many locals the wrong way with their Piet Rampedi “Tembisa 10” ad and now many of them, including Ntsiki are speaking out.
Ntsiki Mazwai takes a stand against Nando’s
Not only is Nando’s ruffling the feathers of ready-to-be-cooked chickens, but they are also now ruffling Mzansi’s feathers. The food company has been at the receiving end of backlash ever since they aired an ad about what may be the country’s biggest news fail for 2021, Pretoria News editor Piet Rampedi’s “Tembisa 10.”
A number of South Africans have since accused them of humiliating both Piet Rampedi who first broke the news of the miracle decuplets and the mother of the 10 missing babies, Gosiame Sithole.

Ntsiki Mazwai, a controversial poet and activist has since taken to Twitter to share her views on the food company and you probably guessed – she wasn’t exactly saying how much she enjoys their spicy chicken and she certainly doesn’t enjoy their cheeky sense of humour.
“I didn’t wanna be the first to point out that @NandosSA is racist AF on social media. Condescending towards blacks. Try another strategy,” she wrote according to a Student Village article.
Of course, Mzansi also weighed in:
