WHAT HAPPENED TO AKA?

According to the CCTV footage, which surfaced on social media, AKA was shot from close range after hugging a friend. This took place outside of Wish Restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on Friday 10 February.

The rapper’s friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was also shot dead. According to IOL, KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Police Commissioner, Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, believed AKA was the main target of the hit and his friend Motsoane was caught in the crossfire.

Mkhwanazi also explained that their strategy was to trace it backwards – from how people get called to the spot and all other communication.
