Mrs Mops throws R250K b-day party, joins new reality show [watch]

Mpumi Mophatlane aka Mrs Mops from ‘The Real Housewives of Johannesburg’ is said to have joined the cast of ‘The Mommy Club’.

Mpumi Mophatlane, best known as Mrs Mops from the reality TV show The Real Housewives of Johannesburg (RHOJ) was said to have splurged a hefty R250 000 for her child’s first birthday party recently, ZiMoja reported.

After season two of RHOJ, Mrs Mops was said to have secretly had a baby. She was also said to have gotten a few acting gigs after leaving the show. Luckily for her, she has the best help to keep her household running as smooth as possible when she is out securing the bag. She was quoted as saying,

“My nanny is everything to me and my kids. She is very loyal, loves children, and takes care of them like her own. She is a great person and a second mother to my children.”

MORE ABOUT THE REALITY TV STAR/ MOM

Mrs Mops decided not to be part of RHOJ season three, instead, she has bagged herself a new job as a cast member of a new reality TV show called The Mommy Club. The show will follow the glamorous lives of five IT moms in Johannesburg as they navigate their fabulous lives. The cast includes, new mom Nunurai, an event planner and florist, beauty and health entrepreneur, and beauty pageant owner Ratile Mabitsela, who has five children, Kaya FM reported. The Mommy Club is set to premiere on 27 June 2023.

Producer Zinzi Velelo Alake was quoted as saying.

“After I had my child, I saw mommies who also just had children but they seemed to have it all together, better than I ever did, so that sparked my interest and I wondered if they were in some sort of ‘Mommy Club.” She reportedly said the cast was chosen because they were hard-work and fabulous black women.
