‘THANK YOU MARIRI’

It’s not the first time Siya Kolisi has heaped praise on his wife.

In an Instagram post last year, the athlete shared a family picture following his baby brother Liyema’s initiation process. In it, the first family of rugby is seen wearing traditional Xhosa attire while gathered around the young man.

But the father-of-two used the opportunity to publicly praise his wife, Rachel.

He captioned the pic: “@rachelkolisi wenza kakhulu [is doing a lot], honestly we wouldn’t be where we are as a family without you! Thank you, Mariri.”

In a separate post, Siya shared a “then vs. now” post of Rachel. In the first picture taken a decade ago, Rachel is posing with the Boks captain who returned from his own initiation process. The current pic saw Rachel posing alongside Liyema.

“Only Nic is missing now,” he captioned the pic, referring to his first-born son.
