Mmusi Maimane claps back at Twitter celebrity Chris Excel

Mmusi Maimane is dishing out clapbacks for free on the timeline, and one person who’s been given a dose of it is a notorious Twitter influencer
The One South Africa Movement (OSA) leader had tweeps in hysterics after he took on “black Twitter president” Chris Excel, who uses the handle @ChrisExcel102.
The Twitter personality – who boasts over 600 000 Twitter followers – is known for their controversial comments on the social media account. As of late, Mmusi Maimane has been taking on celebs like Natasha Thahane, DJ Shimza and even eTV- with his feisty posts
TWITTER PERSONALITY MEETS HIS MATCH IN MMUSI MAIMANE?
This week, Chris Excel took on Maimane with a typical insult mocking the former DA leader. But Mmusi – who has been campaigning for the department of basic education to drop it’s 30% pass rate – was ready to take on the tweep.
He clapped back: “Have you done your assigned readings Chris? I remember giving you homework? If you want to discuss policy and real politics you cannot use follow train habits”.
Chris responded with another jibe mocking the politician. And Mmusi responded by firing shots at Chris, telling them to “focus on your strengths…gossiping and jokes”.
He tweeted: “I wake up at five everyday and I am involved in running three organizations. It’s not the same thing as running multiple accounts anonymously on Twitter.
“If you are failing to read then focus on your strengths. Gossiping and jokes. If you want to talk real politics. Read”.
Mmusi continued: “I think you have misunderstood why I engage your content. You have over estimated your value.
“I am interested in talking to the youth of this nation to get them interested in the political issues of the day. To work towards ending apathy. This is my last time engaging you”
To add insult to injury, Mmusi served Chris with a “certified L”.

Mmusi Maimane and Chris Excel’s tweets were certaining entertaining for the Twitter timeline. Many tweeps felt that the politician had given the social media personality a taste of their own medicine.
