CLAUDIA HENKEL: ‘HE DIDN’T EVEN INVITE OUR KIDS’

The former beauty queen Claudia Henkel tells You Magazine that she couldn’t believe her estranged husband Orin Roesstorff got married to Chloe Frampton while his divorce from her was still in the works

“I was shocked and upset when I found out. I didn’t know anything about this. He didn’t even invite our kids, although he often tells me how much he misses them,” Claudia says.

Henkel adds that the father of her four-year-old twins tied the knot with his girlfriend, Chloe Frampton, in a lavish event at Cape Town’s Waterfront.

She also reveals to the publication that she and Roesstorif are still married and were married for four years before they split.

An insider from the department of home affairs also confirms that the estranged couple is still legally married.

“He has the audacity to marry in public”.

It is reported their divorce proceedings began in 2020, but haven’t been finalised.

BACKGROUND OF ORIN AND CHLOE’S RELATIONSHIP

According to You Magazine, Claudia Henkel’s estranged husband Orin Roesstorff, and his ‘now-wife’ Chloe Frampton went public about their relationship six months after his separation from the former Miss SA in August 2019 and got engaged in April 2021.

The wedding was held at the Zeitz Mocaa (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Cape Town in December. Hosting an event at the prestigious venue can cost between R75 000 and R85 000, reports You.

Henkel’s legal representative, who was also surprised by Roesstorf’s wedding said he’s not allowed to release any information:

“We aren’t allowed to release any information about the divorce, but we were still in the process when we suddenly heard about this ceremony.”

Roesstorff’s lawyer, Johann van Eeden, confirms his client’s divorce from Henkel is still ongoing and said the event in December was a “dedication ceremony” not a wedding.

“A dedication ceremony is, with the utmost respect, quite self-explanatory. These are two people who are devoted to each other and who desire to be in a committed relationship,” Van Eeden says.
