Barely a month after an alleged violent altercation with girlfriend Thuli Phongolo, DJ Maphorisa is back to business, and fans love it.
The muso – real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe – was seen vibing with fans in the club in a viral video posted on social media.
The clip comes weeks after Thuli withdrew charges of assault against the star.

MAPHORISA JAMS IN THE CLUB
In the clip, posted initially on TikTok, Maphorisa is jamming in a club with his fans – including a group of beautiful ladies – to his smash feature hit Mnike.
And the hitmaker had left the drama behind him as he was seen dancing and sipping on what appeared to be an alcoholic beverage.

THULI PHONGOLO WITHDRAWS CHARGES
On Monday, 8 May, Maphorisa appeared in the Randburg Magistrates Court on allegations he assaulted his partner Thuli Phongolo.
AFTER THE ALLEGED INCIDENT, the DJ was arrested on Sunday at Thuli’s Sandton apartment. According to Thuli, the DJ had grabbed her by the neck after an argument the night before.
The alleged incident made many fans call for Maphorisa to be “cancelled” in the music industry.

Following his court appearance, Thuli signed a withdrawal statement and consented to Maphorisa being released on bail. According to TimesLive, Maphoria will appear in court again on 14 June. This time, he will communicate to the NPA in light of the withdrawal statement.
