‘Never loved attention’: Mandisa ‘distances’ herself from Senzo trial
Late soccer star Senzo Meyiwa’s widow Mandisa Mkhize has allegedly distanced herself from his murder trial which is postponed until 2023.

Former Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa’s widow Madnisa Mkhize allegedly distanced herself from the soccer star’s murder trial – according to a report by Zimoja.
MANDISA MKHIZE DISTANCES HERSELF FROM SENZO MEYIWA MURDER TRIAL
Zimoja reports that Senzo Meyiwa’s widow Mandisa Mkhize has distanced herself from his murder trial. She is said to be staying away from the whole case.
“She has done well by staying away from the whole case. Mandisa never loved attention in the first place,” a source claimed to Zimoja.
“Mandisa is a lady. She has found a home for her kids. They are safe and happy. She’s dating a wealthy man and taking care of her kids. That’s all she cares about. She’s not interested in doing any media interviews. The whole thing was hurtful for her and her kids,” the source continued.
However, the source claims that Mandisa only wants justice for Senzo.

WHAT HAPPENED TO SENZO MEYIWA
Senzo Meyiwa is believed to have been shot during an armed robbery at his then-girlfriend Kelly Khumalo’s mom’s home in Vosloorus on 26 October 2014. The following people were in the house when the soccer star was killed:
- Kelly
- Her sister Zandie,
- Their mother Ntombi
- Zandi’s then-boyfriend Longwe Twala
- Senzo’s friends Mthokozisi Thwala and Tumelo Madlala
- Kelly’s then four-year-old son Christian and Kelly and Senzo’s daughter Thingo
As previously reported by The South African, the murder trial has been postponed to 2023. The trial resumed on 14 November and was scheduled to sit until 2 December.
A new witness was expected to take to the stand but the proceedings were delayed because of the arrival of the new legal counsel. Sipho Ramosepele introduced himself as legal representative for accused number one and two.
However, none of the other legal counsels were aware of the new development. Presiding Judge Tshifhiwa Maumela said Ramosepele will need to be provided with transcripts of all proceedings from the beginning of the trial because the case already started. So, the trial has been postponed to the 5 – 15 June 2023.
