‘How do I go on?’: Kelly Khumalo mourns Rhythmic Elements’ Teekay

South African singer Kelly Khumalo is heartbroken as she mourns the death of her close friend Jacob Titus Kota, popularly known by his stage name Teekay.

KELLY KHUMALO: ‘HOW DO I GO ON?’

Kelly Khumalo took to Instagram to share the memorial service details of Teekay Kota. The memorial service is set to be held in Ga-Rankuwa, about 37km away from the North West today (27 January). 

Kelly says no one prepared her for the way she feels about losing her friend because they were so close. She added that she has not come to terms with his death and she does not think she ever will. Kelly was struggling with the death of her friend but she still paid tribute to him. So, take a look…

“This I have not come to terms with and I don’t think I ever will. The pain is too much. I know I’m strong but no one prepared me for this. How do I go on without my friend, my brother, my kids uncle, my mothers child?” she wrote.

Kelly went on to say that it would be difficult for her to perform without Teekay but she said she would always carry him in her heart.

“How do I get on that stage without you? Kodwa ke kulungile makuvume wena Jehova. Rest In Peace Ngwana mme I will always carry you in my heart ❤️????????#RIPTeekayKotu,” she continued.

WHAT HAPPENED TO TEEKAY? 

Teekay Kota was popularly known for being a percussionist in the group Rhythmic Elements but he also known for his hits Hello Mr and Two By Two

Condolences for the percussionist flooded social media as many paid tribute to Teekay. His cause of death has not been revealed so it is yet to be announced.

“When we worked together our travels to gigs would be great coz you always cracked the funniest jokes ever. May your soul rest in peace  ???????? Bra Tika Teekay Kotu ????️????️,” wrote @TerribleTwinsSA.
