JESSICA MOTAUNG: ‘IT’S NOT EASY’

According to SNL24, the Miss SA finalist Jessica Motaung is the marketing director at Kaizer Chiefs and works with siblings Bobby (Football Manager), Kaizer Jnr (Sporting Director) and Kemiso (Head of Digital) and her father Kaizer Motaung, who is the founder of the club.

“Look, it’s not easy and there are times it doesn’t work, we have to be honest,” Motaung told Maps Maponyane on Mzansi Icons.

“It’s very difficult to maintain the boundaries also. The frustration is, ‘when am I talking to my dad and when am I talking to my boss?’” she said.

SNL24 reports that Jessica, who was appointed to the Confederation of African Football’s (CAF) Organizing Committee for Women Football Standing Committee from 2022 to 2024 also said that she and her siblings have tried to maintain professionalism despite personal issues that may creep in.

“But at the same time, we are living life. We’re real, we’re working with each other and some of the personal stuff does creep into the work environment and it’s about maintaining professionalism and it’s a journey,” she added.

‘I DESERVED TO WIN MISS SA’

Motaung also reveals that she was devastated when she wasn’t crowned Miss SA in 1997 as she knew in her heart that she’d given it hundred percent. The Kaizer Chiefs MD was crowned first runner-up and Kerishnie Naicker was crowned Miss South Africa 1997.

“I learned a valuable lesson. In life you can win without winning.”

According to Pageantplanet, in 1997, Jessica Motaung represented South Africa when she competed in the Miss World 1997 pageant for the title of Miss World 1997 and had the opportunity to represent the Miss World pageant.
