Jamie Bartlett’s partner Rosa Onious has remembered him on the first anniversary of his death.

It’s been a year since the death of actor Jamie Bartlett, and his girlfriend Rosa Onious is reliving the pain.

The veteran screen star – known for his roles on Rhythm City and Isidingo –  died on 23 May 2023 after a heart attack. He was 55 years old.

Rosa and Jamie Bartlett began dating in 2019 after first meeting a decade ago. The star was previously married to actress Camilla Waldman.

ROSA REMEMBERS JAMIE BARTLETT: ‘LEARNING TO LIVE WITH THE PAIN’

Rosa – who discovered Jamie Bartlett’s lifeless body after his heart attack – reflected on her heartbreak in the year following his death.

She shared: “Time does not heal; IT DOES NOT. We are out here living our best lives with hearts filled with pain…Smiling with hearts filled with pain…Giving the best life advice with hearts filled with pain…Out here, moving on with hearts filled with pain.

“We learn to live with pain. Pain becomes part of our daily routines. But pain can never win. Love and gratitude always win.

“I am grateful for all the time we spent, I am grateful for your existence in my life. I am grateful that you chose me.

“You may have departed from this earth, but my love for you will remain”.

MORE THAN A STEPDAD

In a separate Instagram post, Rosa shared a video clip of Jamie Bartlett being a hands-on stepdad to her four children.

She shared: “You were so good at telling kids bedtime stories, they would always choose you over me to put them to bed. They miss that; they miss you.

“You never missed a single ballet, acrobatics, soccer, or rugby event in support of the kids.”

A month after Jamie’s death, Rosa told You magazine a month that he had “loved my kids like they were his own.”

Jamie Bartlett had his own biological son – Hector – whom he shared with his ex-wife, actor Camilla Waldman.
