‘Idols SA’ judge JR Bogopa and Tshepi Vundla get married

‘Idols SA’ judge JR Bogopa silenced trolls this past week when he married influencer Tshepi Vundla, who is the mother of his two children.

Music producer and Idols SA JR Bogopa has tradionally married influencer Tshepi Vundla, who is also the mother of his two children.

JR BOGOPA PAYS LOBOLA’  

Influencer Tshepi Vundla, who has two children with Idols SA judge JR Bogopa is officially off the market. The pair, who’ve been dating for years announced they are married on their social media account this past weekend.  

The Citizen reports that they silenced trolls after Vundla was teased by social media users about being in a long-term relationship with music producer and Idols SA judge JR Bogopa without marrying him for years.  

While Vundla did not say what had happened when she shared pictures of herself wearing what looks like an engagement ring on Instagram, she captioned the post with a ring and cow emoji.

BACKGROUND OF TSHEPI VUNDLA  

The influencer Tshepi Vundla is a Xhosa woman with a Sesotho name, who is primarily Xhosa-speaking, but got her first name, Matshepang, from her mom’s side of the family, according to The Citizen.  

The publication adds that she works as a stylist and influencer and is the daughter of advertising industry legends, Peter Vundla and Mampoyi Lehloesa.  

Her father is the co-founder of HerdBuoys (now HerdBuoys McCann-Erickson), South Africa’s first wholly Black-owned advertising agency founded in 1991.   

She and Bogopa are parents to two children, a 5-year-old boy named Sibabalwe (affectionately known as Siba) and a 1-year-old daughter named Liyema (whom she often refers to as Yem, Yema, or Yemi).
