Gogo Maweni and her husband allegedly headed for splitsville

Celebrity sangoma Gogo Maweni — real name Makgotso Lee-Anne Mokopo — and her husband Sabelo Mgube are reportedly facing marital troubles and could be headed for a divorce.

CHEATING IN GOGO MAWENI’S MARRIAGE?

This is according to a close friend who told Zimoja that the couple’s marriage has been rocked by infidelity and pride.

The source claims that Mgube allegedly crashed Maweni’s new Mercedes-Benz.

“She is an independent woman, she makes more money and her ego is inflated. You can earn money, which is already an issue for a man. When he crashed her car, she said some crazy things to him which I will not repeat,” said the friend.

The couple has also allegedly not been on good terms due to cheating in the marriage. It is, however, not clear who is being unfaithful between Maweni and Mgube.

According to the friend, the couple is still living together, however, Mgube has had enough.

“They are still together and living in the house but they are having serious issues. I won’t mention the insecurities. She thinks every woman wants her husband,” said the source.

BATTLE OF THE SANGOMAS

News of Gogo Maweni and her husband’s marital woes come amid her feud with fellow celebrity sangoma Gogo Skhotheni-Dlamini — real name Tumi Motsoeni Shange.

According to IOL, the beef between the Izangoma Zodumo stars started when Skhotheni -Dlamini claimed that Maweni was copying her and her soap. The soap in question apparently brings luck.

The celebrity sangomas’ fight has, however, escalated and gotten personal as Skhotheni-Dlamini told TshisaLIVE that Maweni suggested she was using her children in traditional rituals called ukuthwala. She told the publication that her son has been sick for 12 months as he was born prematurely.

Maweni has also made other claims about Skhotheni-Dlamini, including allegations that one of Skhotheni-Dlamini’s husbands, Monde Shange is bisexual. Skhotheni-Dlamini is in a polyandrous marriage with Shange and her other husband Sibusiso.

IS GOGO SKHOTHENI CHEATING ON HER TWO HUSBANDS?

In addition, Maweni claimed that Skhotheni-Dlamini is having an affair with DJ Oscar Mbo.

In an Instagram Live while speaking in IsiZulu, Maweni said: “I’m saying can we please a challenge and i want for Gogo Skhotheni and i to meet on the street so I can beat her up. Whether we meet in Soweto or any other place, I want us to beat the hell out of each other. Where will I find her because she’s running away from me but? She’s very proud to give me her address, but you know that she runs away, she is not there. So, I want it [the fight ] to be official. I want to beat her up and show her that she is a skank, a skank that sleeps with Oscar Mbo” said Gogo Maweni.
