All eyes are on the royal family ahead of King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla’s coronation on 6 May. The Prince of Wales is next in line to the throne, giving him a massive monetary injection. Here is a look at his net worth.

INSIDE PRINCE WILLIAM’S NET WORTH AND INHERITANCE

Since the late Queen Elizabeth’s passing, a lot has changed within the royal family. Charles became King, Camilla is now referred to as Queen Consort, and William and Kate are now the Prince and Princess of Wales. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children are now called Prince Archie and Princess Lillibet.

As the next in line to the throne, Prince William, Prince of Wales Prince William, will be crowned as the next King of Great Britain.

With the title change comes a vast portfolio of land and properties, as per Parade.

The publication reports that William and his brother, Harry, inherited a trust fund established by their great-grandmother, the Queen Mother, upon her passing in 2002. Although the Prince of Wales did receive his share, Harry received most of what was left of the $17 million (more than R300 million) as William would be king one day.

On his 25th birthday, according to Forbes, William also inherited $10 million (more than R180 million) from his late mother, Princess Diana’s estate.

Upon the Queen’s death, William also inherited the title of Duke of Cornwall and the Duchy of Cornwall from his father. The 128,000-acre estate was established in 1337, as per Architectural Digest.

The publication reports that the inheritance is done to provide an income to the oldest son of the British monarch. It’s estimated to be worth over a billion dollars and provides a yearly income of more than $24 million (more than R400 million).

According to Parade, William’s net worth is estimated at around $1.34 billion (more than R24 billion).

WHICH BROTHER HAS MORE MONEY?

Celebrity Net Worth reports that Prince Harry is worth an estimated $60 million (R1.3 billion).

According to Forbes, Princess Diana left Harry and William an inheritance of $10 million (R185 million) upon her death. The princes received annual dividends of $450 000 (R8.3 million) a year at 25.
