Frenemy vibes: Is Wanda Baloyi throwing shade at Kelly Khumalo?

Following the season finale of her reality show Life With Kelly Khumalo on Tuesday 27 September on Showmax, viewers saw the Empini singer end her friendship with musician Wanda Baloyi and reunite with her estranged sister Zandie Khumalo.

“Friends actually exhaust me. They are a lot of work, especially when everything is about them,” Kelly is heard telling her mother, Ntombi Khumalo.

A day after the finale, Wanda Baloyi also had something to say about the people in her circle when she took to Instagram to get some things off her chest.

WAS WANDA BALOYI INDIRECTLY RESPONDING TO KELLY KHUMALO?

In one of her cryptic posts, Wanda spoke about distancing herself from people to take better care of herself, ZAlebs reports. While in another, she addressed people who have backstabbing tendencies.

“I have laughed with people who have said the most terrible things about me and think I don’t know.”

In the penultimate episode of season three, Kelly Khumalo and Wanda Baloyi engaged in an emotionally charged conversation that marked the end of their friendship. Although it seemed the two had forgiven each other at the end of the episode, the beginning of episode 13 makes it clear that the two still have unresolved issues.

‘SHE IS SELFISH AND CENTERED’

During the last episode of the reality series, Kelly Khumalo lashes out after Wanda addresses her drinking.

“I am not going to babysit a 40-year-old woman. She painted me as a drunkard. I don’t want to see her at this point. Her plan was to embarrass me. She’s selfish, and centered. Friends actually exhaust me. They are a lot of work, especially when everything is about them.”

“When Wanda needs support from me she gets it. She sent me a message while I was doing my nails, and said she was emotional. I did not bother to find out what was going on. I asked her where she was. Whenever she is tired and heartbroken I say let’s have dinner at my house.

“This is me doing this for her outside my own demons that I am fighting on a daily basis that nobody cares about. I was exhausted and I just woke up in the morning and heard that Wanda was spilling wine inside the house.,” Kelly Khumalo says

This is not the first time Kelly Kumalo is losing a close frien as she previously had a fall out with singer Brenda Mtambo in season two.
