According to several sources, Sisulu’s net worth is said to be between a staggering $1 million (an estimated R18 million) to $5 million (about R91 million).

FAMILY

Her parents are South Africa’s revolutionary leaders, Walter and Albertina Sisulu. She has two siblings, Zwelakhe and Max Sisulu.

Lindiwe married Kenyan Professor Rok Ajulu, who died after 20 years in their marriage, succumbing to pancreatic cancer on 26 December 2016 at the age of 66, SA Notify reported.

She has four children, Ayanda and Vuyo Sisulu, Che Samora Ajulu and Olindi Obango.

The late Professor had also reportedly had a son, Achieng Ajulu Bushell, from his previous relationship named

EDUCATION

According to the South African Government website, in 1971, the former Minister of Tourism completed her General Certificate of Education at St Michael’s School in Swaziland.

She was said to have a Masters of Arts degree in History and an M Phil, which she obtained from the Centre for South African Studies of the University of York with the thesis topic: “Women at Work and the Liberation Struggle in South Africa”.

Lastly, she was also said to have obtained her BA degree, a BA degree in History, and a Diploma in Education from the University of Swaziland.

CAREER

Lindiwe reportedly became an MP in 1994 and has since become a trustee of the South African Democracy Education Trust, trustee of the Albertina and Walter Sisulu Trust, and also a member of the Board of the Nelson Mandela Foundation.

She is also said to be the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC), as well as the National Working Committee of the ANC.

She whas reportedly been the chairperson of the Inaugural of the African Ministerial Conference on Housing and Urban Development since 2005.

Lindiwe was the Minster of Human Settlement of the Republic of South Africa from 26 May up to 26 February 2018.

On 27 February 2018, she was reshuffled as the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, which lasted until 25 May 2019.

From 30 May 2019 to 5 August 2021, Lindiwe was the Minister of Human Settlement.

She was then reshuffled as the new Minister of Tourism on 5 August 2021 and axed on 6 March this year.
