Being part of the Royal Family does have its perks, but these five somewhat bizarre ones will leave you speechless.

Apart from attending lavish events, being part of the Royal Family definitely has its perks. Like, have your sandwiches all have rounded edges or your shoelaces ironed, as per ReadersDigest.

FIVE BIZARRE PERKS OF BEING PART OF THE ROYAL FAMILY

Being a royal family member comes with more than just royal duties.

There definitely are some perks to being part of the royal family. Even though somewhat bizarre, as per ReadersDigest.

1. FRESHLY IRONED SHOELACES

Yes, according to Business Insider, King Charles III has no less than three personal valets, all dedicated to making sure the monarch always looks his best. The valets are responsible for picking out his daily outfits and have to iron the shoelaces on every pair of shoes he owns, the publication reports.

2. ALL POTATOES ARE MEASURED

Reportedly, before being served at Buckingham Palace, all potatoes are measured to ensure they are similar in size and not to spoil the overall appearance of the dinner plate.

3. NO WASHING MACHINES ALLOWED

Whenever King Charles or Queen Consort Camilla send their clothes to be cleaned, ever so often, something goes missing, probably as souvenirs. Therefore all their clothing has to be hand washed, Business Insider reports.

4. WARM BISCUITS

The King enjoys cheese and biscuits at the end of some of his meals. But, he insists on the biscuits being a specific temperature. According to ReadersDigest, a warming pan is always on standby to ensure the King’s biscuits are warm enough.

5. NO CORNERS ON ROYAL SANDWICHES

Sandwiches served to royal family members are not allowed to have right angle corners. All sandwiches have rounded edges. According to Hello!, this tradition was started by royal ancestors. It is also believed that Prince Albert thought it unlucky to eat coffin-shaped food, the publication reports.
