The African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Fikile Mbalula was recently interviewed on the Power to Truth show with JJ Tabane and gave his take on the country’s current load shedding status.

FIKILE MBALULA SAYS LOAD SHEDDING WILL BE A THING OF THE PAST SOON

An online user was one of many people who have circulated Mbalula’s video promising that load shedding will be over soon. In the video, Mbalula could be heard saying,

“From where I’m seated, from the work that has been done by government and ministers and so on –load shedding before the end of the year should have been something of the past.

After hearing the unbelievable statement, Mbalula’s interviewer himself could be seen visibly shocked at what he had just heard. Meanwhile, on online, the Twitter user circulated the short clip and captioned it,

“As the clock ticks to the 2024 National & Provincial Elections, it’s important that you get ready [to] vote ANC out. We [are] on Stage 8.”

According to News24, it appears that ANC will be facing challenging elections next year. It was reported that several polls had indicated that the political party could fall below 50 % as citizens are seemingly said to be losing faith in the government’s abilities.
