Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk welcomed American rapper Kanye West back to Twitter after his Instagram restriction – via a tweet on 8 October.
KANYE RESTRICTED FROM INSTAGRAM
After Kanye West’s Instagram account was placed on restriction on Saturday, Elon Musk welcomed the rapper back to Twitter.This is the rapper’s first tweet since 2020.
So, Kanye posted a photo of him with Mark Zuckerberg asking him how he could kick him off Instagram.
Instagram – which is a part of Meta – confirmed to Business Insider that they placed a restriction on the rapper’s account. No much information was provided but the platform did delete some of his content violating the app’s policies. Users that repeatedly break Instagram’s community guidelines may be temporarily restricted from posting, commenting, or sending direct messages.
“Look at this Mark. How you gone kick me off instagram. You used to be my n****,” he tweeted.
This follows Kanye calling out his ex sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian over his children and more.

So, Musk replied to Kanye’s tweet welcoming him back to Twitter.
“Welcome back to Twitter, my friend!” wrote Musk.
Kanye sat down with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, on an episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight which aired on 6 October. When he was asked if he knew Musk, he responded that he knew the billionaire very well and he’s a great team player.
“Very well… Everyone’s always like, ‘Elon’s got these answers.’ I think he’s a great team player,” he said.
Musk previously said that in the event of the Twitter acquisition he would prioritise free speech. The billionaire also previously criticised the platform for hindering the opportunity for people to express themselves.
