Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk’s “college sweetheart” Jennifer Gwynne is auctioning off mementos from their university relationship, including an emerald necklace. The precious gem stone is reportedly from a Zambian emerald mine of which the billionaire’s father, Errol Musk, was a half-owner.

ELON MUSK’S EX-GIRLFRIEND IS AUCTIONING OFF MEMENTOS

Jennifer Gwynne dated Elon Musk when they were both studying at the University of Pennsylvania. She is now selling mementos from their college relationship via Boston-based RR Auction.

According to CNN, Gwynne and the world’s richest man began dating back in 1994 when they both worked as resident advisers in a university dorm. The items that Gwynne is auctioning off, includes 18 candid photos of a “baby-faced” Musk as an economics student and several photos of the then-couple together.

The photos show off the SpaceX CEO living like a normal college student – from goofing off in his dorm room to cuddling with his girlfriend.

JENNIFER TO SELL NECKLACE WITH EMERALD FROM ZAMBIAN MINE

One of the other items being auctioned is a necklace that the billionaire gave to his then-girlfriend. Gwynne revealed that the gold necklace includes an emerald from the emerald mine the Tesla CEO’s father used to have half-shares in.

“When we went to visit Elon’s mother in Toronto during the Christmas break of 1994, Elon gave me both the small ‘love, love, love’ note and the necklace,” she said in RR’s statement according to CNN.

“His mom had a number of these necklaces in a case in her bedroom, and Elon told me they were from his father’s emerald mine in South Africa (sic) — he pulled one from the case. And because I had not gotten him anything as a Christmas gift (and I felt very guilty about that), he said we would consider the necklace an early birthday present for me,” she continued.

The necklace comes with two photos – one of the billionaire and Gwynne with Musk’s mother, Maye Musk. The second is off Musk and Gwynne at an end-of-the-year formal in 1995.

“I wore the necklace for a number of years on and off, but it’s mostly been in my jewellery box for the last 10 years (always reminding me of Elon, of course),” she added.
