Canadian rapper Drake reportedly showered strippers with $1 million (R15.2 million) in cash a night after the Astroworld tragedy on 5 November.
DRAKE SPENDS R15M IN CASH AT A STRIP CLUB
Travis Scott held an Astroworld festival on Friday 5 November in Houston, Texas. Panic broke out when the crowd began to surge towards the front of the stage. This resulted in nine “tragically young” people losing their lives.
Drake also made an appearance at the festival. The Hotline Bling hitmaker and Travis Scott reportedly continued to perform while people were collapsing. One of the festival-goers is suing the pair for “inciting the crowd”.
The Best I Ever Had hitmaker released a statement following the tragedy.
“I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself. My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering,” said Drake in a personal statement.
“I will continue to pray for all of them and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all,” he continued.
However, he reportedly visited a strip club the night after the tragedy and showered the women with $1 million (R15.2 million) in cash. So, fans were upset that the rappers did not take the deaths at the concert seriously and continued to live their soft life while the families of the deceased suffered.

A video of women counting what is said to be $1 million in cash went viral. The video is reportedly taken in Houston, where the Astroworld tragedy took place.
The ladies scream “thanks Drake” as they continued to count the cash.
TWEEPS TO DRAKE: ‘WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU? NO CLASS AT ALL’
Tweeps were upset when they found out Drake visited a strip club the night after the Astroworld tragedy.
“@Drake I’m sorry to say all of this. Just watched Adele special and there you are in a track suit. How is that respect? And after the concert in Houston. Where were you? At a f…….. strip club. What’s wrong with you? No class at all,” wrote @equality1834.
Others questioned where the Drake hate was.
“Didn’t this kid die three days ago? Could’ve sworn I heard it on the corporate news. And Drake goes to the strip club after the show. Where’s the Drake hate?” wrote @TkeifferToby.
“Exactly, not complete chaos & certainly not people dying, especially kids! Yeah Drake apparently went to a strip club after & dropped a million bucks, lovely,” wrote @Hargitay1NY.
“Drake is reported to have spent $1 mill at a strip club the very next day. I don’t think he was wrapping his mind around the devastating tragedy,” wrote @aanchalala.
