Business as usual? Dr Nandi breaks silence amid Thabo Bester link

Despite being linked to the notorious convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester – aka the “Facebook rapist,” celebrity aesthetician Dr Nandipha Mogudumana, or Dr Nandi as she is commonly known,  has announced her return to work.

The Sandton businesswoman has been at the centre of headlines after eyewitnesses allegedly spotted her with the convicted criminal. Bester is believed to have faked his death and escaped a Pretoria prison in 2022.

Bester was found guilty raping two women in hotel rooms in 2011 after luring them on social media under the guise of being a model scout. A year later, he was also convicted of raping and murdering his girlfriend, Nomfundo Tyhulu.

DR NANDI MAKES IG RETURN

After ghosting her Instagram followers – and turning comments off – Dr Nandi broke her silence since news of her alleged relationship with Thabo Bester made headlines.

But her comments had nothing to do with the scandal. Instead, the mom-of-two revealed she would be back in business again.

“We would like to notify all our clients that Dr Nandipha will be available from next week. We kindly appreciate your patience during this time,” read the post.

Last week, the mystery behind Thabo Bester’s disappearance continued to unfold. Bester was reported to have died in a prison fire in May 2022. However, Minister of Police Bheki Cele claimed last week that the body found in his cell was not, in fact, the same man.

Just two months after allegedly faking his death in a Pretoria prison, GroundUp alleges Bester and Dr Nandi were seen in public together.

According to the publication, Dr Nandi also allegedly told the Pretoria High Court that she was his “customary law wife” following his “death.”

Since becoming a trending topic on Twitter, the celebrity doctor has kept a low profile. The publication claims that the businesswoman – who recently appeared on MacG’s Podcast and Chill – declined to comment.

ABANDONING HER HOME

Meanwhile, Dr Nandi allegedly abandoned her rented Hyde Park home, claims GroundUp.

The publication alleges the woman was evicted over non-payment of rent.
