‘I DIDN’T BUY THE MCLAREN’

The popular musician Dr Malinga topped Twitter trends on the weekend (5 November) after sharing a video of the R6 million McLaren saying he was hurt by those who dragged him.

The star posted a video of himself in a McLaren with background music of his latest single Baba Ngiyabonga.

Tweeps quickly assumed he bought the car and bashed him for ‘buying’ the car revealing they can’t believe he was asking for donations a few weeks prior and is now driving the expensive car.

Malinga tells Daily Sun that he didn’t buy the car and says it’s a music video that was taken in 2021 at the Royal Marang Hotel in Rustenburg, North West province.

The entertainer also tells the publication that he doesn’t understand why people were reacting so negatively and he’s hurt by the trolls.

“One thing I know is that the ones making noise didn’t contribute to assisting me. A person who helps you prosper would not have a problem with you buying a McLaren because they want to see you do well.”

“God will never criticise you. When I cried, I wept to God and he touched the hearts of those who helped me.”
