Out of nowhere, American rapper Doja Cat—real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini unexpectedly took to her timelines on Monday, 10 April, to share the news that she would no longer be making music which caused quite a stir online, leaving millions of her fan’s jaws dropped.
‘JK’: DOJA CAT QUITS MUSIC?
According to Pop Buzz, Doja Cat began her music career back in 2013 and has since blown up. In 2020, she was said to have become a sensation on TikTok with hits like Vegas, Say So, and more.
Her current net worth is estimated to be $8 million (approximately R148 million), Celebrity Net Worth reported.
Taking to Twitter recently, the 27-year-old had her 5.5 million Twitter followers gasping for air in disbelief as she disclosed to them she had quit music, saying,
“I quit music.”

In a string of Tweets that followed, Doja Cat toyed with her followers as she then posted,
“JK [just kidding]”
Which was then followed by her saying,
“No, I’m serious. I quit music.”
And then again, saying,
“JK. I’m not. Relax.”
And again, saying,
“JK. I quit. I’m done with this music sh*t. It’s only making me sadder every day. I can’t take it anymore.
The toxic cycle went on for quite some time, leading fans to wonder what was true and what wasn’t.
However, later, the Boss B*tch hitmaker promised her fans that she would complete her upcoming album.
