Maroon 5 singer and former Voice USA coach Adam Levine has broken his silence following allegations made by Instagram model Sumner Stroh that he cheated on his wife, Behati Prinsloo, with her.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday 20 September, Levine admitted to flirting but rubbished claims he cheated.

ADAM LEVINE DENIES CHEATING

In a statement, Levine – who has been married to the model since 2014 — said that he “used poor” judgement in speaking with the model.

“A lot is being said about me right now and I want to clear the air.

“I used poor judgment in speaking with anyone other than my wife in any kind of flirtatious manner. I did not have an affair, nevertheless, I crossed the line during a regrettable period in my life.”

The 43-year-old musician and his wife are currently expecting their third child and according to Stroh, Levine recently contacted her to ask if he could name his unborn baby after her.

In his statement, Levine said that he takes “full responsibility” and will never make the same mistake again.

“My wife and my family is all I care about in this world. To be this naive and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly matters to me was the greatest mistake I could ever make. I will never make it again. I take full responsibility. We will get through it. And we will get through it together,” Levine continued.

STROH’S CLAIMS

The Girls Like You singer’s statement comes after Stroh claimed she dated him for about a year — although not mentioning which year it was. In her TikTok video, she also shared Instagram messages that she claimed were from Levine.

“Essentially, I was having an affair with a man who is married to a Victoria’s Secret model. At the time, I was young, I was naive. Quite frankly, I feel exploited. I wasn’t in the scene like I am now, so I was definitely very easily manipulated.”

MORE WOMEN ACCUSE ADAM LEVINE OF MESSAGING THEM

Following the cheating claims and Levine’s statement, more women have come forward with screenshots of their alleged conversations with the Maroon 5 frontman.

According to Hollywood Life, a comedian named Maryka posted screengrabs on Instagram on Tuesday 20 September of alleged messages from Levine. One is a text that reads “Distract yourself by f***ing with me!” and the other is a video that Levine allegedly sent her, in which he says, “I’m stupid”. However, it’s unclear why he’s saying that.

Another woman whose name is Alyson Rosef also reportedly posted a bunch of direct messages that she claims were allegedly sent to her by Levine. One reads “I shouldn’t be talking to you you know (right)?” While another reads “Said no hot chicks ever other than you.” This is after she told him that she only likes metal music
