Cassper Nyovest responds to AKA’s shocking death

Rapper Cassper Nyovest took to social media to respond to Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane’s deaths.

Rapper Refiloe “Cassper Nyovest” Phoolo took to social media to pay tribute to Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his former manager Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, who died on Friday, 10 February.

CASSPER NYOVEST: ‘MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES’

Award-winning rapper AKA’s fans have been eagerly waiting Cassper Nyovest’s response as the two stars were hip hop rivals and have not been on good terms for over a decade.

When the Lemonade hitmaker passed away, the North West-born rapper also trended as fans waited to hear what he would say.

“My sincere condolences goes out to Kiernan and Tebello’s families, colleagues, and fans. May their souls rest in peace and their legacies be celebrated. May the Good lord be with all of you at this sad time,” Nyovest said.

The rapper also trended this past weekend for his tweet which he posted over 24 hours ago before AKA’s tragic death. 

He tweeted: “All things work together for good.”

Tweeps dragged him as they missed the timestamp and assumed he was tweeting about the incident.

AKA: FAMILY CONFIRM PASSING

AKA’s parents Lynn and Tony Forbes expressed their sadness at the loss of their 35-year-old son on Saturday, 11 February. 

“It is with extreme sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved son, and confirm his untimely and tragic passing on the evening of 10 February 2023. We are awaiting further details from the Durban police.”

“To us, Kieran Jarryd Forbes was a son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend, and most importantly father to his beloved daughter Kaito. To many, he was AKA, SUPERMEGA, BHOVA, and the many other names of affection his legion of fans called him by.

According to City Press, his former manager, Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane was also shot dead, while another person, believed to be AKA’s bodyguard, was wounded.
