Like many South Africans in recent weeks, Cassper Nyovest is bearing the physical toll after contracting Covid-19

The rapper and businessman has returned home from a busy few days in Cape Town. The Billiato creator enjoyed spending time in the Mother City where he socialised with celebrity pals, performed in various venues, and of course took his McLaren for a spin.

But instead of starting the New Year on a high, the star is recuperating after a “hellish” few days.

CASSPER FIGHTS COVID-19

Cassper Nyovest revealed his health woes on Twitter where he claimed he was feeling unwell.

This, after fans asked the star when he would begin training for his upcoming boxing match against Naakmusiq in April.

Despite not confirming he had contracted Covid-19, he did hint at hint when he tweeted earlier this week:

“Okes, that Cape Town trip has me down bad. Aneva ke kule so [I’m sick of it]!”

“The fever Covid hits you with is mad different. That s*** had me sweating and feeling cold at the same time. It’s sooo uncomfortable!”

“I’m down bad now. Very very sick. Need to rest and recover before I get back in the gym”

Cassper reveals that whilst he is finally feeling better, he compared battling Covid-19 a “fighting demons”.

Last year, Cassper supported a call for Covid-19 vaccinations to become readily available to all South Africans. He tweeted at the time: “We want our country back and safe!”

L-TIDO ENCOURAGES FANS TO GET VAXXED

Similarly to Cassper, fellow rapper L-Tido has also urged his following to get vaccinated.

This after enduring a gruelling few days recovering from Covid-19.

He tweeted: “Pls make no mistake COVID still out here in a real way … pls get vaccinated. I just fully recovered from the virus”
