‘God said it’s okay: Bongani Fassie and Buhle back together
‘It’s a spiritual attack’: Bongani Fassie and his partner Buhle Sangweni are back together shortly after she ‘exposed’ him for abuse.

Music producer and reality TV star Bongani Fassie and his partner of 15 years, Buhle Sangweni, have rekindled their love — according to Zimoja.
This comes two weeks after she accused the child star of gender-based violence (GBV) and ransacking her house.

BUHLE ACCUSES BONGANI FASSIE OF ABUSE
In a video posted on social media on 12 February, Buhle shows fans her damaged valuables and messy apartment.
“This is my house. He literally broke everything. Everything is broken. This is what Bongani Fassie did,” she says in the video.

In addition, Buhle shared pictures of her bruised leg and face on social media through the gossip page, Maphephandaba. At the time, she expressed that she was tired of being physically abused by Bongani.
When Zimoja asked Bongani about the incident, he revealed that he was not okay and had gone to the hospital and police station to collect statements and medical documents.

‘WE BOTH HIT EACH OTHER’
However, in a Monday, 28 February, article by Zimoja, Buhle revealed that she and Bongani had rekindled their love.
She explained that she loves the child star — who is the son of the late Afropop icon Brenda Fassie. Buhle further said that she and Bongani were spiritually attacked; also revealing that they both hit each other.
“We both hit each other. We want to focus on the good energies,” she was quoted as saying.
“God said it’s okay. It’s a spiritual attack. Me and Bongani are okay,” she added.

NOT THE FIRST TIME
This is not the first time that allegations of GBV have rocked the couple. Last year, City Press reported that the shooting of season two of Bongani’s reality TV show Finding Bongani almost did not happen after they physically assaulted one another.
According to production crew members, the couple was involved in a domestic dispute that led to the alleged stabbing of Bongani in December 2021.
“Those two are always fighting, as you might have seen on the first season of the show. They are always at each other’s throats, and it is toxic what they have going. They had a fight in December and Buhle stabbed Bongani,” one source revealed to the outlet at the time.
