‘Courts are open’: Is Bonang’s R500k lawsuit against Rea Gopane loading?
Media personality Bonang Matheba is not done with YouTuber Rea Gopane after he accused her of introducing rapper AKA to drugs.

Media personality Bonang Matheba hinted that her lawsuit against Youtuber Rea Gopane is still ongoing, via a tweet on Tuesday 18 January.
QUEEN B’S R500K LAWSUIT AGAINST REO GOPANE
Bonang Matheba announced that she filed a defamation suit against Rea Gopane on 16 May 2021. This was because of drug allegation remarks he made against her on his entertainment vlog Everything SA Music TV on 9 May 2021.
Gopane accused Bonang of introducing her ex-boyfriend rapper AKA to cocaine. The media personality did not take these allegations lightly and demanded R500 000 from Gopane within 10 days.
“To this end, I am instructed to demand from you R500 000 within 10 days. Should this sum not be paid within the prescribed time, I have instructions to issue summons without further notice to you. Please provide your physical address to avoid summons being served via Facebook and/or Instagram,” read the lawsuit.

BONANG MATHEBA: ‘COURTS ARE OPEN’
Queen B hinted that the lawsuit was still ongoing via Twitter. The media personality first tweeted “goodluck” to Gopane.
Bonang then began to trend on Twitter as Tweeps speculated about the lawsuit. She then followed up with another tweet.
“Courts are open. Time to rock,” she tweeted.
Gopane did not seem apologetic… but he slammed Queen B yet again in October 2021. He claimed that she is not as smart as she pretends to be.
“Bonang is not as smart as she pretends to be. All she’s good at is getting her fans to attack people, she’s been doing it for a couple of years,” he said.
“Ntsiki Mazwai told us, shout out to her, she told us that Bonang is just the front. She’s making her lawyers do stupid stuff like sending cops to my house and sending me a summons,” he continued.
He also took an aim at House of BNG — the brand she and her management company were in a battle over.
“Do the real work of securing the bag. She fooled everyone on some ‘girls with vineyards’ she doesn’t have a f******* vineyard,” he added.
