SOMIZI DEFENDS KHANYI MBAU

In his Instagram Live session, the Idols SA judge responded to Bonang’s fans who said she exited the controversial Netflix original reality series because of the other cast members.

Somizi echoed Khanyi Mbau’s views; who also stars in the show; that Bonang left because she is not used to being in a room with people in her caliber. Khanyi received a lot of criticism for her views and was subsequently labelled the “villain” on YFA.

“Khanyi would say things that we think about but are not brave enough to say, for instance, she spoke about Bonang, saying that Bonang is not used to being in a room of people that are of her level.

“She was attacked for that by Bonang’s fans, fair enough, however, the thing is with fans, when your fans are your fans, they don’t even think you could do wrong.

“The are times when fans have to be human beings, use their brains, because when they attacked Khanyi, they were now attacking her saying who does she think she is, what is she famous for?” Somizi said.

Defending Khanyi, he said that she would not be in the series had she not been successful, therefore Bonang’s fans should not downplay her success.

“She is very successful, she is extremely successful, she is doing very well, she’s a great mother, artist, actress.”

‘BONANG DOESN’T GEL IN RELATIONSHIPS WHERE THEY ARE ON THE SAME LEVEL’

Somizi went on to agree with Khanyi’s point that Bonang doesn’t gl with people in her caliber.

“When Khanyi said Bonang was uncomfortable because she is not used to being in a place where everyone is her equal or above her that was the truth, she’s not used to that.

“Have you ever seen Bonang gelling or lasting in relationships where they are on the same level, it’s not in her, she doesn’t operate like that.”

He, however, said that it doesn’t make it wrong or right and it doesn’t make sense that everyone is jealous of Bonang.

“It should, however, not make other people look like they are stupid or that they are jealous of her.”
