‘We’re incredibly proud’: Black Coffee’s estranged wife on Grammy win

Actress Enhle Mbali, the estranged wife of South African DJ Nkosinathi Innocent Sizwe Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee, congratulated him on his Grammy win via an Instagram post on 5 April.

ENHLE MBALI TO BLACK COFFEE: ‘WE’RE ALL INCREDIBLY PROUD’

Enhle Mbali and Black Coffee reached some “messy” points in their divorce. The pair tied the knot in 2011 and have two sons together Anesu (11) and Asante (6). 

Enhle and Black Coffee did not seem to be on good terms for a while when the actress applied for a protection order against the DJ. This was because Enhle claimed her estranged husband allegedly abused her. The Rockville star was denied a protection order so she said she would be bring “receipts” of the Superman hitmaker’s lies in a press conference. 

However, Enhle chose to take a journey of healing instead and released a mini documentary titled The Voice. It seems Enhle is putting her personal feelings aside and celebrating the father of her son’s win. She said that they are all incredibly proud.

“Congratulations to the my little dudes dude. We’re all incredibly proud. #simplylive #EmpressEnhle,” she captioned a picture of Black Coffee with her two sons.

Black Coffee won his first Grammy award at he 64th annual Grammy Awards in Las Vegas. His win was for his album Subconsciously in the in the Best Dance/Electronic category.

He took his eldest son Esona with him to Las Vegas and on stage to collect the award.

MARRIED OR DIVORCED?

So, are Enhle and Black Coffee divorced yet? No! The actress revealed that years have passed and she is still waiting for her divorced to be finalised – in an exclusive interview with The South African. 

She said that she is currently just focusing on the well being and mental health of her children.

“I’m really just concentrating on the well being on my children, their mental health until the divorce is done because it is not yet done and me too. Just being selfish just a little,” she said.
