‘Big Brother Mzansi’ contestant QV exits the show for ‘personal reasons’

After a seven-year hiatus from television, Big Brother Mzansi welcomed 18 new housemates on Sunday 23 January. According to Sunday World, Keamogetswe “QV” Motlhale has left the house for “personal reasons”.

In a tweet, QV expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to appear on the hit reality show with tweeps wishing her well for the future.

KEAMOGETSWE LEAVES ‘BIG BROTHER MZANSI’

Director of local entertainment channels at M-Net, Shirley Adonisi confirmed to Sunday World that Keamogetswe “QV” Motlhale had exited the Big Brother Mzansi house. Adonisi highlighted that QV decided to leave the house for “personal reasons”. 

The publication reported that a psychologist was working with the 23-year-old to make sure she had a “smooth” transition into the outside world. 

“We wish her all the best on her journey and she has our full support,” said the psychologist. 

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday 26 January, QV said she was grateful for the opportunity to appear on Big Brother Mzansi

“I’ll never take the moments for granted. One thing you guys should take away from this is that healing takes time,” wrote QV.

TWEEPS SAY THEIR GOODBYES 

Big Brother Mzansi fans took to Twitter to bid farewell to the QV. One tweep supported the marketing graduate’s exit from the reality show. 

“Mental health issues are not a joke. Farewell to QV and get the help you need. No money in the world is worth that priceless INNER PEACE,” wrote the tweep.  

“One could see QV’s voluntary elimination coming. We wish her well,” wrote another tweep. 

“Mental health is very serious and we do not take it seriously in the black community, I’m happy QV chose herself.”

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT QV 

QV, from Mafikeng in the North West, is a marketing communications graduate who described herself as easy-going, fun and free-spirited.

“I’m lively and I’m a leader, I’m a boss,” she said in her Big Brother Mzansi introduction video. 

Her hobbies include partying, exploring new restaurants, swimming and meditating.
