Babes Wodumo launches ‘Original Shandis’ gin and vodka spirits

Gqom star Babes Wodumo has revealed one way she has paid tribute to her late husband, Kwaito icon Mandla ‘Mampintsha’ Maphumulo.

Gqom Queen Babes Wodumo excitedly took to Facebook on 22 April, to show off her latest achievement in honour of her late husband, Kwaito star Mandla Maphumulo, who was best known by his stage name Mampintsha.

BABES WODUMO BEGINS GIN AND VODKA BEVERAGE VENTURE?

 28-year-old Babes Wodumo, whose real name is Bongekile Mildred Simelane has not only made herself proud but her fans and social media followers as well.

This is because, on Saturday, she had the honour to announce that she had completed Mampintsha’s project of launching his own alcoholic beverages.

Mampintsha died on 24 December 2022 after suffering a minor stroke at Durdoc Hospital in Durban.

Babes Wodumo explained that the alcoholic beverages which are an “OS Gin and Vodka” were initially Mampintsha’s vision. She says Mampintsha had wanted to leave a legacy for their only child, whom netizens know as Sponge.

The Wololo hitmaker expressed that she felt the need to see her late husband’s dream through, not only for him but for their son too.

She also warned her future customers of how potent the drinks were.

In December, after Mampintsha’s death, Babes Wodumo expressed her desire to unlock her late husband’s phone.

According to Times Live, she made headlines almost two weeks after Mampintsha’s death for having successfully hacked the phone.

She was bashed by several online users and fans who voiced that her actions to hack the phone were disrespectful.

According to ZiMOJA, Babes Wodumo’s late mother-in-law Zamanguni Gumede was also not impressed with her for having returned to work soon after her son was laid to rest.
