South African singer Babes Wodumo was in good spirits as she sang and danced along at the late Mampintsha’s mom- Zamanguni Gumede’s memorial service.

In spite of reports that Babes Wodumo had been barred from attending Mampintsha’s mom’s funeral service, it seems the gqom singer and the Gumede family are not at loggerheads as reports claimed.

BABES CELEBRATES HER MOTHER IN LAW’S LIFE

The memorial service of the late Zamanguni Gumede who succumbed to a stroke on the evening of January 15, took place yesterday in L Hall KwaMashu, Durban. Reports claimed that Babes had been barred from attending the funeral service taking place today.

However, a video shared by Daily Sun, shows the Wololo hitmaker dancing with her in-laws at Zama’s memorial service, squashing the reports.

Babes Wodumo and Mampintsha’s sister Pinky Gumede, are not actually feuding despite Babes’ “bewitching” accusation. In the video, Babes is seen dancing and singing with mourners including Pinky — who recently accused Babes of not visiting her mother while she was in the hospital.

The clip also features an emotional clip of Zamanguni breaking down after meeting Tira, who visited the family along with other KZN artists, to comfort them during this difficult period. Zama is heard thanking Tira for visiting them. Watch the clip below:

MAMPINTSHA’S SISTER SAYS BABES WODUMO DIDN’T VISIT MOM IN THE HOSPITAL

Zamanguni passed away on Sunday 15 January, at age 64, after being hospitalized. This was just over a week after her son Mampintsha’s passing on 24 December. According to Pinky, who spoke to Daily Sun, Babes Wodumo did not visit her mother in the hospital. She also claimed that the Wololo hitmaker did not call Zama to check up on her.

“Despite making peace with MaGumede at Mpintsho’s funeral she never visited her in the hospital and she never phoned her,” Pinky said.

“She has not contacted us and we’ve never contacted her,” she added.

Babes and her mother-in-law smoked the peace pipe before Zama’s passing. The singer extended an olive branch to her at Mampintsha’s funeral service. Speaking at the funeral, she asked Zama to end their long feud and said she forgave her.

“I want to forgive you for all your sins because I am a child of a pastor, and I am saved. I forgive you. May whatever dispute end today.”
