Twitter users appear to have been frustrated by media personality Anele Mdoda’s “slow” outfit changes while hosting the Miss South Africa 2022 finale held at the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Pretoria on Saturday 13 August.

ANELE HOSTED MISS SA 2O22

Anele Mdoda hosted the finale of the Miss South Africa 2022 pageant on her own this year. She was an energetic host, who kept the audience in high spirits even during the ad breaks, but Tweeps seemed to think her outfit changes were too slow.

So, many mentioned that she had been wearing the same dress for too long while they thought media personality Bonang Matheba would be changed quicker and needed to provide a tutorial on hosting.

Here’s at two of Anele’s three outfit changes for the night.

23-year-old Ndavi Nokeri was crowned Miss SA 2022. The University of Pretoria (UP) graduate is the second beauty queen to be crowned Miss SA from Limpopo in two years. She follows in the footsteps of Shudufhadzo Musida, who was crowned Miss SA in 2020.

Anele also announced that Miss SA will be following in the footsteps of Miss Universe and now allowing married women and mothers to compete at the pageant.

TWEEPS WEIGH IN

Twitter users dragged Anele for her slow outfit changes and compared her to Bonang. So, take a look..

“Haai our Queen Bonang needs to host a How to present a live show 101 Tutorial. She’s still wearing the same dress this one. @Bonang would be on her 3rd outfit change haai,” wrote@17_Anybody.

However, others jumped to her defence.

“Anele Mdoda is a very brilliant broadcaster!  Finish and klaarr!  One of the best.  Her talent is enough.  It’s really not our fault that all your fave serves are outfits and eye lashes.  Some of us are here for talent,” wrote @Kunene_Noman.
