‘AmaZulu boss dumped me’: ‘RHOD’s’ Slee opens up [photos]

New edition to the Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) Slindile “Slee” Wendy Ndlovu has spoken candidly about getting her heart broken by a man she says she was romantically involved with for six years.

The businesswoman told Daily Sun about her relationship with AmaZulu boss Sandile Zungu who got married last year to another woman, four months after their relationship ended.

SLEE RECALLS RELATIONSHIP WITH SANDILE ZUNGU

Slee told the publication that her relationship with Zungu started in 2016 — the same year his first wife, Zodwa Zungu, passed.

“We started dating in 2016 and in the end, I came out with nothing except my handbags,” she told the publication.

The mom-of-two added that they got engaged in 2019 and later lived together.

“In 2019, he promised to marry me and we got engaged. It wasn’t something huge but the proposal cemented our relationship. At that time, I was studying in the US. When came back to South Africa, I went to live with him,” recalled Slee.

According to the RHOD reality star, her relationship with the wealthy businessman was not a secret as she attended every AmaZulu event, ran the club house and his late wife’s foundation; The Zunguness Foundation.

“I ran the Zunguness Foundation and attended every parents’ meeting for his kids. I’d take care of his kids in his absence. When his wife died, I became his shoulder to cry on. I followed all his instructions without questioning him. We did baecations together,” Slee added.

THEIR BREAK-UP

Narrating their break-up, Slee said she and her ex-fiance had a minor argument that she assumed they would fix.

Slee explained that Zungu had promised to pay lobolo for her after a big project she was working on was complete. However, she says he never kept his promise.

“Instead, he dumped me and married another woman,” said Slee.

“We had a minor argument and he said he doesn’t trust me anymore. He stormed out of our home but I didn’t take it seriously. I actually laughed because the fight wasn’t even serious. I waited for him to come back but he didn’t.

“Four months after the argument, he went behind my back and married another woman. I saw their pictures in the newspapers. I was shocked and hurt by the whole thing. That’s when I decided to walk away. I still don’t know why he dumped me. I might have triggered something in him but whatever it is did not give him the right to treat me like that.

“Now that the relationship has ended, I can see that I was never his ideal woman. I think he was still mourning his late wife and I helped him to heal,” she said.

Zungu told the publication that he would comment once he has seen the RHOD episode.

ZUNGU REMARRIES

Last year, Zungu remarried. The multi-millionaire and his wife Nozipho Magubane had their lavish wedding ceremony in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands in June.

According to Sunday World, the glittering wedding was attended by A-list celebrities, politicians, businesspeople, including billionaire CAF boss Patrice Motsepe.
