South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes may have just went Instagram official with his rumoured bae Nadia Nakai today (4 March) almost a year after he lost his fiancee Nelli Tembe in April 2021.

Rapper AKA shared a six-second-long clip of himself and Nadia Nakai almost locking lips. The pair look happy and in love. Nadia also shared the same clip on her Instagram account. It is unclear whether the clip is from a music video but fans think otherwise. Take a look…

WHY ARE FANS UPSET?
Fans and followers were possibly shocked because AKA lost his fiancee Nelli Tembe almost a year ago. Nelli plunged to her death from the tenth floor of the Pepperclub Hotel in Cape Town on 11 April., while on vacation with AKA.
AKA opened up about suffering with clinical depression following the death of Nelli. His publicist also stated that he had to see a grief counsellor after she passed on.
“He lost the love of his life, someone he had taken advanced steps, culturally, to spend the rest of his life with. The love and support of Anele’s family and a grief counsellor have also been some relief to him,” said AKA’s publicist Pumza Nohashe to Tshisa LIVE.
The rapper also mentioned that he was put on medication for his depression but he stopped taking them because they did not allow him to feel anything.
“Couldn’t handle them. They made me feel like I couldn’t feel anything so I got off them. Plus my whole job is to feel,” he wrote on Instagram at the time.
