AKA’s mom slams Tweeps claims: ‘I love you Don Design, my son’
Lynn Forbes, the mom of late rapper AKA, shut down speculation that Don Design was involved in her son’s murder with a sweet shout-out.

Lynn Forbes, the mom of late South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, shot down claims that Don Design was involved in her son’s murder as she showed him love during her speech at the rapper’s memorial service.
The memorial service was held at the Sandton Convention Centre on Friday 17 February – marking a week since the Fela in Versace hitmaker’s death.

AKA’S MOM LYNN SENDS LOVE TO DON DESIGN
AKA was shot dead, along with his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, outside of Wish restaurant on Florida Road, Durban on Friday 10 February. Don Design was present when AKA was killed.
Many Tweeps ran with the narrative that Don Design was involved in the murder of AKA after the CCTV footage surfaced on social media. Lynn Forbes shot down the speculation by showing love to Don Design while she addressed the Megacy at her son’s memorial.
Lynn was joined on stage by her younger son Stefan and his partner Brittany Smith. She explained that everyone who got on the stage was a son to her and sent a special shoutout to Don Design.
“Don Design, I love you my son,” she said towards the end.
In her address to the Megacy, Lynn explained that from now on, going forward it will be about the Megacy as their broader family and not just her family.
“Today going forward it will not just be about me and the rest of our family, extended family and friends. It will be about the Megacy as our broader family. I believe that is what Kiernan would have wanted,” she said.

TWEEPS CLAIMED DON WAS INVOLVED IN AKA’S MURDER
After the CCTV footage had surfaced online, Twitter users were pointing fingers at AKA’s long-time friend Don Design. Tweeps analysed the footage and claimed that Don Design signalled for the shooters.
According to Tweeps he was also allegedly the only one to cover his ears when the gun shot went off. Take a look…
However, there has been no solid evidence to prove that Don Design was involved. Aside from Lynn, AKA’s dad, Tony Forbes also stated that they will not condone the implication of his son’s friends.
