Bobby van Jaarsveld is asking friends and followers to share advice on how to quickly recover from COVID-19 after he recently contracted the virus.

The Afrikaans singer took to his Instagram account to vent about having to isolate away from his wife and children, as well as, consume a large quantity of medication.

‘EVERY TYPE OF PILL UNDER THE SUN – EVEN ONE FOR SADNESS’

In the sombre post, Bobby van Jaarsveld reflected on how lonely the journey had been.

The Sprokie hitmaker wrote in the caption, originally written in Afrikaans: “It’s day eight for me on the quarantine train… I miss people, my wife and my children.”

The singer – who is the brother of Karlien van Jaarsveld – claimed he was spending his time in isolation writing songs, watching movies and feeling sorry for himself.

He added comfort eating to the list too: “But I don’t taste anything”, he said.

The dad of two also revelled in having to take “every type of pill under the sun”.

“Even Prozen because it helps for everything, even for sadness,” he added.

“Steam with eucalyptus oil,” said one, whilst another added; “Ginger tea is the best bet”.

A third advised the singer to order a couple of Zinger wings from KFC to burn his mouth until he starts tasting again. And Bobby’s celeb pals like Marc Lottering and Patricia Lewis were also on hand to offer their moral support.

Meanwhile Steve Hofmeyr – who is also currently battling COVID-19 – sympathised with his star colleague. “I take everything that calls itself a potion,” he quipped.
