‘I lost a big part of myself’: Black Coffee on abuse allegations

Black Coffee has oepned up about the abuse allegations made against him by estranged wife Enhle Mbali back in March 2021.

South African-born DJ Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, popularly known as Black Coffee, opened up about his estranged wife Enhle Mbali accusing him of abuse – via a tweet on Thursday 29 December.

BLACK COFFEE OPENS UP ABOUT ABUSE ALLEGATIONS

DJ Black Coffee opened up about his estranged wife – Enhle Mbali accusing him of abuse via a tweet on Thursday 29 December. He explained that the accusations left a heavy void in his heart, which he can’t shake off.

“The day my ex accused me of physically harming her, nothing was the same. It has left a heavy void in my heart a void I can’t shake off,” he wrote. 

The Superman hitmaker went on to say that no court of law could fix the pain and shame he carries with him.

“I lost a big part of myself,no court of law could ever fix the pain and shame I still carry today,” he continued.

ENHLE MBALI ACCUSES THE DJ OF ABUSING HER 

The pair tied the knot in 2011 and have two sons together – Anesu (11) and Asante (7). They called it quits and filed for divorce in 2019. There have been claims of the DJ fathering children outside of his marriage.

In March 2021, Enhle accused Black Coffee of physically abusing her and filed for a protection order against him.

The alleged abuse was said to have taken place at Enhle’s birthday party at their marital home, according to Daily Sun.

“Nathi asked me why I was throwing a dinner without his permission. I then asked why I needed his permission and he said because it’s his house. I then told him it’s our home and am puzzled. He then threatened to call the cops to shut it down,” she said in the court application, according to the publication.

In May 2021, Enhle revealed that her protection order had been denied and vowed to stop “protecting” the DJ.
