American singer Beyoncé Knowles and her rapper husband Jay-Z ditched the glamorous Met Gala this year for a relaxing vacation in Cannes, France.

Beyoncé is celebrating her birthday with a family vacation in France. Queen Bey turned 40 on 4 September. The singer gave her 207 million followers a rare glimpse into her family vacation as shared several pictures of herself and her husband along with their four-year-old daughter, Rumi.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z tied the knot back in 2008 and have three children together – nine-year-old Blue Ivy Carter and four-year-old twins Rumi and Sir Carter. However, only Rumi Carter is seen in the pictures that Beyoncé shared on Instagram.

The Single Ladies hitmaker who does not usually post often, shared at least 48 pictures in the last seven days. Here is a look at her vacation snaps. Beyoncé stunned in a deeply plunged peach silk dress paired with chunky silver jewelry and orange heels while Jay-Z wore a full white outfit.

According to House Beautiful, the yacht the couple have been spotted on is actually the largest yacht available for charter called the Flying Fox. The yacht costs an estimated $4 million a week to rent out, equating to R57.6 million.

The yacht can accommodate 25 guests in suites. There are 55 crew members on board. Many of whom are dual-trained to be chefs, housekeepers, medics, dive instructors, hairdressers and more.

While Queen Bey has been successful from a young age, she revealed she just wants to enjoy her life in her 40s.

“I’ve done so much in 40 years that I just want to enjoy my life. It’s hard going against the grain, but being a small part of some of the overdue shifts happening in the world feels very rewarding. I want to continue to work to dismantle systemic imbalances. I want to continue to turn these industries upside down,” said Beyonce to Harper’s Bazaar.

She went on to say that you can balance fun and having purpose along with other important things in life.

“I want to show that you can have fun and have purpose, be respectful and speak your mind. You can be both elegant and a provocateur. You can be curvy and still be a fashion icon. I wish this freedom for every person,” she continued.

“I have paid my dues and followed every rule for decades, so now I can break the rules that need to be broken. My wish for the future is to continue to do everything everyone thinks I can’t do,” she added.
