Just a few days ago, American bodybuilder and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger shared a touching video pleading with President Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine. The nine-minute-long video went viral across the world and sparked many reactions. Russian TV host Vadim Gigin is one of many who shared their thoughts – and judging by what he had to say, he was not impressed with Arnold or the rest of those speaking against Putin.

Russian TV host slams Arnold Schwarzenegger’s emotional clip

On Thursday 17 March, 74-year-old Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger went viral after sharing a video of himself pleading with Putin and the rest of Russia to put an end to the war that they have waged on Ukraine.

“To President Putin, I say, you started this war. You are leading this war. You can stop this war.’

He also asked Putin and his Kremlin counterparts: “Let me just ask you, why would you sacrifice those young men for your own ambitions?”

And now, just days later, Arnold has been severely slammed by a Russian TV host who referred to the video as a “Hollywood production.”

Vadim Gigin, the host of Sunday Evening With Vladimir Solovyov on ONT, did not take lightly to what Arnold had to say and quickly launched an attack at Arnold and basically America.

“That face is the cover page of American imperialism and colonialism.

“Not the caricature image of Uncle Sam, but this Schwarz, in a Hollywood production.

“He, in California, will tell us, who live here… the truth? That is their approach towards us.”

A clearly agitated Vadim also added: “Schwarzenegger twice travelled to Iraq to support the American troops and never tried to tell the Iraqi people why they’re being destroyed.”
