On the eve of their wedding, rewatch Anlia van Rensburg’s emotional rendition of the national anthem on the day her beau Eben Etzebeth played his 100th Test for the Springboks.

Springbok star and recently crowned SA Rugby Player of the Year Eben Etzebeth is set to tie the knot with Anlia van Rensburg, one of the biggest stars in South African show business — she is a singer and an actress — on Saturday, 4 February.

So in celebrations of their pending nuptials, here is a flashback to the time when she sang the national anthem before the third and final Test between the Springboks and Wales in Cape Town, a game which marked Etzebeth’s 100th Test.

The World Cup playoffs will take place at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille and Stade de France in Paris from 14 October to 28 October. 

The teams contesting these knockout matches will be determined as the World Cup progresses, so it is not certain whether or not the Springboks will advance beyond the pool stage of the competition. But the Springboks could potentially go all the way and contest the 2023 World Cup final.
