Andile Mpisane has faced the taunts of trolls once again after bragging about his stint as a professional soccer player – and captain of Royal AM.

The chairman of the club – who made his match debut on Sunday against Kaizer Chiefs – has clapped back at critics who questioned his abilities.

The father-of-three and son of Shauwn Mkhize aka “MaMkhize” was widely ridiculed for “paying” his way into the team squad. He also faced backlash for his “overweight” physique and lack of ball skills on the field.

ANDILE MPISANE SHOWS ‘PROOF’ HE IS A SOCCER PLAYER

Following two days of trending on Twitter after Sunday’s match, Andile Mpisane shared ‘proof’ he was deserving of a spot in Royal AM.

The amapiano hitmaker shared pics of himself during the match and at training practise. In one pic, Andile and his teammates were even seen doing his Makhwapheni dance challenge.

“Feels good to be back”, he captioned the pics.

In a separate post, Andile Mpisane shared a clip of him in action during Sunday’s match.  Seemingly annoyed and amused, he quoted his critics in his caption: “He didn’t touch the ball”.

But unbeknownst to many social media users, his Royal AM match was not the 21-year-old’s first stint at soccer.

According to mom MaMkhize, Andile Mpisane played for another pro soccer team as a young boy – AmaZulu FC.

Defending her son against criticism, MaMkhize told Metro FM’s Sports Night Amplified “You know there is one thing people don’t know about Andile, as much as he is my son, he goes to the training like every player [to be] part of the plan.

“He trains with the team and I don’t know if people do understand that Andile is the one who brought me into soccer because of his love for football”.

TWEEPS ARE STILL NOT IMPRESSED

But whilst Andile Mpisane attempted to earn respect as a pro soccer player, fans and followers were not about to give it to him.

Responding to his own claims that he was “back” in the soccer games, tweeps clapped back:

@dan_boroko: “Hebanna, back where?”

@oneboysgranson: “No ways! Let’s all just respect the professional players please”

@xukuzane_edwin: “What a joke!”

@lizeka_mbombo: “If forcing was a person”

@mickeymooki12: “Just go and try to convince your fans to dance to your music when performing. Leave this football thing. It’s not good for you”

@mokgothutaele: “You must be STOPPED at costs”
