We know her as a bubbly actress, presenter and singer who has entertained South Africans for decades. Now Amor Vittone is celebrating turning 50 years old!

The former wife of Joost van der Westhuizen turned the milestone age this week with a low-key celebration.

And to mark the momentous occasion, the star took fans on a trip down memory lane inside her childhood and early years in the industry.

AMOR VITTONE AGEING LIKE FINE WINE

Taking to her Instagram account, the blonde bombshell shared a video montage of her fifty years alive. They include pictures of her as a young girl, a pageant queen and a star athlete.

On her actual birthday – Wednesday, 16 March – Amor celebrated the day with roses, chocolate and champagne. “Feeling so blessed today. Thank you, to everyone, for all the beautiful wishes”, she shared on Instagram.

And many of her followers cannot believe the star has celebrated her golden birthday. With a fully made-up face, perfectly styled tresses and a wardrobe that shows off her slim physique, Amor is still as glamorous – and youthful – as she looked twenty or more years ago.

The only thing that has changed over the years is are her biggest fans – her children: Kylie and Jordan, whose dad was former Springbok player Joost van der Westhuizen.

And Amor is one proud mom – the 50-year-old can regularly be seen cheering on her show-jumper daughter and soccer star son, who is currently away in Spain at Valencia sports academy.

Amor Vittone can be seen on TV screens in her role as Zelda on soapie 7de Laan. She also works behind the scenes as a clothing designer.
