Nadia and AKA’s mom comfort each other in heartbreaking clips
Hearts melted after watching AKA’s mom, Lynn Forbes, embracing his girlfriend Nadia Nakai at yesterday’s press briefing.

On Tuesday this week, the family of slain rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes gathered at Rockets in Sandton where they held a press conference regarding the death of the 35-year-old who was killed outside Wish restaurant on Florida Road in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Among those in attendance were AKA’s parents, Lynn and Tony Forbes, his younger brother and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai.

On Friday 10 February last week, multi-award winning rapper AKA was gunned down outside a popular Durban restaurant where he had been dining with some industry friends.
His death comes as a shock to his millions of fans who have not stopped speculating about who is behind the senseless killing.

On Tuesday this week, the rapper’s family appeared in public for the first time for a press conference regarding his death and funeral arrangements.
Among those who showed up at the media briefing which took place in the Northern surburbs of Johannesburg were his parents, brother and girlfriend Nadia Nakai.

Heartbreaking footage from the gathering shows Lynn Forbes and Nadia embracing each other while Tony – the family’s official spokesperson – briefed the press.
At one point, Nadia cries on her mother-in-law’s shoulder seemingly unable to hold back her tears.
Mzansi is devastated
The sad scenes at the conference left many locals teary-eyed as they discussed what pain the two leading women in AKA’s life are going through since his untimely passing.
